Three names from three eras sharing one small number
Joseph's elder son, born in Egypt. His father named him so because God made him forget the hardship of his father's house.
Shneur Zalman of Liadi, 1745–1812, author of the Tanya and of his own Shulchan Aruch. He built a teaching in which feeling is derived from thought rather than the reverse — hence the name Chabad, from three words: wisdom, understanding, knowledge.
The engineer whose alternating current won the argument over how electricity would reach homes. He died in a hotel room with almost nothing.
