Three names from three eras sharing one small number
A judge told to cut his army from thirty-two thousand down to three hundred — so that the victory would not look like a matter of numbers.
Moshe Schreiber, 1762–1839, Pressburg. He answered the pressure of the new century with a formula that became a slogan for a whole camp, and at the same time built the yeshiva that supplied central Europe with rabbis for a generation.
A printer who became a scientist and a diplomat. He invented the lightning rod and refused to patent it.

All three looked at what others did not see, and insisted on what they saw longer than was comfortable.
