Three names from three eras sharing one small number
Mother of Moses, Aaron and Miriam. She hid her son three months, then herself placed him in a basket on the water.
Shlomo Yitzchaki, 1040–1105, Troyes. A vintner and a commentator. His commentary on the Torah and the Talmud has been printed beside the text for nearly a thousand years: he explains more briefly than anyone, and explains exactly what is unclear.
A Vienna journalist who wrote The Jewish State and convened the first congress. He died at forty-four, half a century before it came about.
