Three names from three eras sharing one small number
Aaron's grandson. The only one to whom the Torah explicitly grants a 'covenant of peace' — for the act that stopped the plague.
1772–1810, great-grandson of the Baal Shem Tov. He told stories instead of sermons and said that a person should speak to God in his own language, out loud, alone in a field.
He computed the orbit of Mars for eight years until he admitted it was not a circle but an ellipse. Giving up the beautiful shape gave the right law.
