Father of Moses, Aaron and Miriam. The Torah names him only in the genealogy — his whole role is who his children became.
Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook, 1865–1935, first Ashkenazi chief rabbi of the Land of Israel. He wrote about the secular pioneers of his day with a warmth almost nobody in his own camp shared.
A Viennese psychiatrist who went through the camps and lost his family there. He wrote that a person keeps the choice of an attitude to what happens to him.
