A queen who hid her origin and revealed it to save her people. In her book the name of God is never mentioned once.
Rabbi of Prague and Hamburg, a master of law and a preacher. His long dispute with Rabbi Yaakov Emden split the communities of Europe.
He survived Auschwitz and Buchenwald, kept silent for ten years, then wrote Night. Nobel Peace Prize, 1986.
