Three names from three eras sharing one small number
The only prophet who fled his commission — and was brought back. His book is read on Yom Kippur: the city repented and the verdict was undone.
Shneur Zalman of Liadi, 1745–1812, author of the Tanya and of his own Shulchan Aruch. He built a teaching in which feeling is derived from thought rather than the reverse — hence the name Chabad, from three words: wisdom, understanding, knowledge.
At twenty-one he was given two years to live; he lived fifty-five more and explained that black holes radiate.
