The number of your name

Jeziah (יזיה) — A Tanakh name: an Israelite (first in Ezra 10:25; 1 mention in the Tanakh).
And the same number belongs to the Torah word לב — “heart”.

Your word in the Torah

The word לב — “heart” — has the same number as your name. Here is the verse where it first appears:

וירח ה׳ את ריח הניחח ויאמר ה׳ אל לבו לא אסף לקלל עוד את האדמה בעבור האדם כי יצר לב האדם רע מנעריו ולא אסף עוד להכות את כל חי כאשר עשיתי
Genesis 8:21

The verse of your name

There is a sentence with which, by custom, a person answers when asked who they are.

Yours is this one.

יעבר נא אדני לפני עבדו ואני אתנהלה לאטי לרגל המלאכה אשר לפני ולרגל הילדים עד אשר אבא אל אדני שעירה
Genesis 33:14

The verse is chosen by the custom: it begins with the first letter of your name, י, and ends with the last, ה.

The custom is written down in the Kitzur Shelah and in Sefer Ben Zion: “say it regularly and never forget it as long as you live.” The Rokeach gives the reason in Chochmat ha-Nefesh: a person is asked their name, and whoever does not remember cannot answer. The verse holds the name for them. Siddur ha-Rashban puts it more plainly: children were made to learn their verse by heart — so that if they were taken and forgot everything else, they would still know who they were.

How to read your number

Fact. The letters of the name יזיה add up to 32. Plain addition — you can check it yourself.

Meaning. There is a Torah word with the same number — לב (“heart”). A matching sum does not mean the word is 'about you'; it is a reason to look at what in it matters to you.

A question for yourself. What in this do you recognise in yourself — and what would you like to strengthen?

Practice. This week: open the verse of your name, read it slowly three times and write down one thought that stays with you.

יזיה
In short
Your name in Hebrew letters is יזיה. A Tanakh name: an Israelite (first in Ezra 10:25; 1 mention in the Tanakh). Meaning, per Strong’s dictionary (1890): “sprinkled of God”. Adding up the numbers of its letters gives 32 — the same as the Torah word לב, “heart”. That number points to Torah page 32 of 354 — in the portion Vayera. What that portion is about: Three visitors at Abraham's tent; the plea for Sodom; the birth of Isaac; the binding of Isaac on Mount Moriah. The verse that begins with the first letter of your name and ends with the last is Genesis 33:14. Each of these steps is laid out below with its sources. Every figure can be checked by hand.
You wrote “Jeziah” — this exact spelling is what was calculated: יזיה. A name from the Tanakh — its Tanakh spelling is used. If your name is spelled differently, correct the Hebrew spelling and the report is recomputed.
Adding up the letters of the name יזיה gives 32.
32
The number 32 is the Torah word לב — «heart» (Genesis 6:5).

✓ Verify

This number is shared with 2 other name(s) out of the 2,980 in the index.

Lev, “heart”, is 32; the Torah begins with bet and ends with lamed — together, lev.
The number 32, as the remainder modulo 354, points to Torah page 32 in the book of Bereshit (Genesis).
The verse this place falls on is Bereshit (Genesis) 21:28:
וַיַּצֵּב אַבְרָהָם אֶת־שֶׁבַע כִּבְשֹׂת הַצֹּאן לְבַדְּהֶן
And Abraham set seven ewe-lambs of the flock by themselves.
This is from the portion Vayera. What it is about: Three visitors at Abraham's tent; the plea for Sodom; the birth of Isaac; the binding of Isaac on Mount Moriah.
Other ways of counting
The tradition counts the same name in several ways. The main one is above: each letter is its number. The other eight are old and checkable too; each gives its own number, and many of them have a Torah word with the same number.
with finals and ordinal — 32. A Torah word with the same number is לב — “heart” (Genesis 6:5).
Reduced, each letter to one digit (mispar katan) — 14. A Torah word with the same number is יד — “hand” (Genesis 3:22).
Cumulative: a letter plus all letters before it (mispar kidmi) — 153. A Torah word with the same number is פגע — “to meet, entreat” (Genesis 23:8).
Squares of the letter values (mispar perati) — 274. A Torah word with the same number is עדר — “flock, herd” (Genesis 29:2).
Building: the sum grows with each letter (mispar bone’eh) — 86. A Torah word with the same number is אלהים — “God” (Genesis 1:1).
The letters that come out are מעמצ — not a word that stands in the Pentateuch. Atbash: letters mirrored, alef for tav, bet for shin, and the number of the resulting word — 240. A Torah word with the same number is ככר — “plain, talent, loaf” (Genesis 13:10).
Filling: the names of the letters are counted — alef, bet, gimel… (milui) — 113. A Torah word with the same number is חקה — “statute” (Genesis 26:5).
The number 32 appears in the classical books 36 times across 24 works. The earliest mention is כל בו (~1300).
The name יזיה does not stand as a word in the Pentateuch — as with most names, including many Tanakh names from the later books.
The verse of your name
There is a custom: at the end of the prayer one says a Torah verse that begins with the first letter of one's name and ends with its last. For יזיה these are י and ה. The Pentateuch has 10 such verses. The first of them is Genesis 33:14:
יעבר נא אדני לפני עבדו ואני אתנהלה לאטי לרגל המלאכה אשר לפני ולרגל הילדים עד אשר אבא אל אדני שעירה
This is from the portion Vayishlach. What it is about: Wrestling with the angel and the name Israel; the meeting with Esau; Dinah in Shechem; the birth of Benjamin and Rachel's death.

How it is counted

Each Hebrew letter has a number; a word's number is their sum (alef 1 … tav 400). The page is the remainder modulo 354: the Torah divided into 354 pages of 861 letters, as the lunar year has 354 days. Everything can be checked by hand.
