Atbash: your name read as a different word

An ancient way of reading: the first letter swaps with the last, the second with the second-to-last. Your name turns into another word — and it has meaning.

What Atbash is

Atbash is a simple mirror of the alphabet: aleph ↔ tav, bet ↔ shin, and so on. It appears already in the text of the Tanakh, where a few words are encoded with it. Applied to a name, it opens its "reverse side" — a word hidden in the mirror of your letters.

Not always, but telling

Not every name gives a meaningful word in the mirror — and we say so honestly. But when it does, the result can be strikingly apt: the reversed word often points to what a person hides or, conversely, compensates for. This is not mysticism but a property of the alphabet's symmetry.

Atbash's place in the analysis

Atbash never stands alone: it complements the number of the name rather than replacing it. In the report it appears as a separate section with the substitution of each letter shown, so you can see where the reversed word came from. It is one of the tools at the SOD level.
