Three names from three eras sharing one small number
The king who built the First Temple. Offered anything he wished, he asked for an understanding heart to judge the people — and was given the rest besides.
Shlomo Yitzchaki, 1040–1105, Troyes. A vintner and a commentator. His commentary on the Torah and the Talmud has been printed beside the text for nearly a thousand years: he explains more briefly than anyone, and explains exactly what is unclear.
She brought hygiene into military hospitals and proved it with mortality diagrams. Nursing became a profession with her.
