Sister of Moses and Aaron. She stood by the river watching the basket, and led the women with timbrels after the sea was crossed.
Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, 1910–2012. He lived to a hundred and two, kept the same small flat in Jerusalem to the end, and for his last decades was the address to which the Lithuanian world brought its hardest questions.
The name attached to the Iliad and the Odyssey. Almost nothing is known of the man himself — only the texts remain.
