- 30:15 Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud. ¶10501
- 30:16 And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me. ¶10502
- 30:17 My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest. ¶10503
- 30:18 By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. ¶10504
- 30:19 He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes. ¶10505
- 30:20 I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me not. ¶10506
- 30:21 Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me. ¶10507
- 30:22 Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance. ¶10508
- 30:23 For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living. ¶10509
- 30:24 Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction. ¶10510
- 30:25 Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor? 30:26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness. ¶10511
- 30:27 My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me. ¶10512
- 30:28 I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation. ¶10513
- 30:29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. ¶10514
- 30:30 My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat. ¶10515
- 30:31 My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep. ¶10516
- 31:7 If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands; 31:8 Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out. ¶10518
- 31:9 If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; 31:10 Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her. ¶10519
- 31:11 For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges. ¶10520
- 31:12 For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase. ¶10521
- 31:23 For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure. ¶10523
- 31:29 If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him: 31:30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul. ¶10525
- 31:31 If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied. ¶10526
- 31:32 The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller. ¶10527
- 31:36 Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me. ¶10529
- 31:37 I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him. ¶10530
- 31:38 If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain; 31:39 If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life: 31:40 Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. ¶10531
- 32:1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. ¶10533
- 32:2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God. ¶10534
- 32:3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job. ¶10535
- 32:4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he. ¶10536
- 32:5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled. ¶10537
- 32:6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion. ¶10538
- 32:7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. ¶10539
- 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. ¶10540
- 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment. ¶10541
- 32:10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion. ¶10542
- 32:11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say. ¶10543
- 32:12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words: 32:13 Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man. ¶10544
- 32:14 Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches. ¶10545
