Nine counting systems: why one name has several numbers
Letters can be added in more than one way. Each counting system looks at a name from its own angle — and together they give depth, not one flat digit.
One name, different sums
The plain value of the letters is only the start. There is a count where each letter is reduced to a single digit; a count by the letter's ordinal position; a count where the value is squared. The same name in different systems yields different numbers — and each is about something of its own.
Why so many
One system shows the main theme of a name, another how it shows up outwardly, a third the hidden load. When several systems point the same way, the theme sounds strong. When they diverge, that is a point of inner tension. It is precisely the agreements and gaps between systems that form the substance of the analysis.
All with the arithmetic shown
